My Brother’s Birthday
This year for my brother’s birthday we got together at his condo on Lake Harding and grilled steaks. My brother is a great grill master and he has been grilling for years so he knows what hes doing. At his condo complex they have an area that overlooks the lake next to the pool area and you have a view of 219 on the water restaurant.
After we ate me and my brother were watching the goldenhour/sunset window. They day had been mostly cloudy so i didnt expect musch but we walked down there anyway since we say a speck of pink pop up in the sky. I am so glad we did. Him, my niece, her boyfriend and I walked down to this long penensula with a dock they have out in the channle and got a beautiful but small cotton candy sky. As we walked down we saw to kids swimming as the light was dissapating. The sky was teal blue with pink and felt like a movie out there. The water reflectiong the pastel colors onto everything. We sat and watched the colors playout.
I captured the late night swimming activity. The color. The atmosphere. As well as all of us experiencing the night. Everyone else in the condo finally came down to meet us as they could see the colors from inside glowing outside. We sat and talked until the final light faded away to night.
Every evening at my brother’s on Lake Harding we have had great sunsets. I guess we have a bit of luck on our side. It always makes for memorable nights especially topping off a great birthday celebration for my brother.
